Oh, Happy Day!!!

So glad to get home today from work because in my mailbox was the prize I won from Tim Holtz!  On Halloween day, if we left a comment on his blog with your favorite candy, we had a chance to win.  Out of I think over 1300 comments, he picked 13, and I was one of them!
Mario shipped it out right away and I received the Witch Die, Halloween tissue tape, one of the cool skeletons Tim uses in his Configurations and 3 pieces of candy corn...YES candy corn!  I had to laugh when I found that in the box.  I can't wait to make something with these items even though it isn't Halloween anymore!

Halloween Card

Here is my card for Halloween this year.  I used Tim's rickety house die, tree texture fade and brick wall texture fade.  Everything is grunged up and then I covered it with crinkled organza.  Kind of gives it a foggy look.  Hope you like it.

Compendium of Curiosities Challenge #13

So I have been kind of on & off on this challenge but I needed to make a birthday card for a co-worker this week so I figured I would make it so it would also work with the challenge.  Hope you like it.  I did some stamping on on the large petals to give them more interest.  I like the way it came out.

Simon Says Stamp & Show Week 3

This couldn't be a more perfect time for the latest challenge over at Simon Says Stamp and Show, anything t!m inspired! I have been working on my version of his curio cabinet at night after work and just finished it on Monday. I've included close ups of the different sections because I am so proud of it!

All of these sewing notions are so cool!

Vintage milk cap and ruler piece with transistors wrapped around it.

Love the Frozen Charlotte Head and vintage broach.

This is my absolute favorite piece in the whole box! I found this medicine bottle at an antique shop and it still had the label intact. I walked up to it and was so amazed to see that the original pills were still inside also!! I had to have it and then found out it was only $1.00! The shop owner went to a closet and pulled out 5 more almost just like it but smaller. Needless to say, I bought them all!

This is an old car that was my fathers as a child and I have kept it all these years for a reason. Now it has a permanent home.

Love this box also because I love photography. That's an original flash bulb from an old Kodak Brownie Box Camera and vintage 8MM film.

Studio L3 CCC #9 entry

Ok. The blog thing isn't so hard! So, with that figured out, I can join in on the Studio L3 Crackle Paint Challenge. This was my Christmas card last year and I thought that the Crackle Paint was a cool addition to the snowman.

Trying to figure this blog stuff out...

Ok, so here I go trying my first post because I want to show off some of my work. This is for the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge. I had a great time making this tag.
